Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear,
when it seemed every town had its mandolin orchestra and the mandolin was
the most favored instrument of the day.
In part, that is what The Montana Mandolin Society does in
its lovely album which is good enough to win high praise from no less than
Evan Marshall. Of the title piece, Marshall’s cover note says, “The Montana
Mandolin Society is ‘bridging the gap’ between the high-tech world of the
21st century and an era when people really took time to appreciate musical
beauty.”
